Disclaimer
Four disclaimers apply to everything this software produces. They appear on results, projects, PDFs and sales pages, and are repeated here in full.
1. Approval disclaimer
Ontario Septic Designer is a planning, calculation, and permit package preparation tool. It does not guarantee permit approval and does not replace the authority of your local building department, health unit, conservation authority, engineer, designer, or inspector. Final approval is always by the applicable local authority. Site conditions must be verified in the field.
2. Cost estimate disclaimer
Costs are planning estimates only. Actual pricing depends on suppliers, trucking distance, local labour rates, access, soil conditions, equipment, inspection requirements, and contractor pricing.
3. Raised bed / imported fill disclaimer
Planning estimate only. Final fill, mantle, slope, grading, and approval requirements must be confirmed against actual site conditions and local approval authority requirements.
4. Installer directory disclaimer
Installer listings are provided for homeowner convenience. Users must perform their own due diligence. Confirm licence, insurance, WSIB, references, written scope, and contract terms before hiring.
Every package says who prepared it
Every PDF package produced by an owner-builder account carries the line: “Prepared by the property owner using Ontario Septic Designer.” The property owner designs; the software calculates, checks, drafts and organizes. See Software Scope for the full picture.
