Ontario Septic Designer
Septic jobs that show up with the homework done.
Homeowners use Ontario Septic Designer to work out their design flow, tank size and bed size and to draft their permit package. A lot of them then want a registered installer to build it. That is where you come in.
The septic installer program, in plain terms
1. The homeowner does the front end
They run the free check, then the $99.99 Permit Package Builder: daily design flow, tank size, leaching bed length, setbacks, a site plan and a 20+ page package for the permit office. You get a customer who already knows roughly what the job is and what it costs.
2. They pick an installer in their county
We are building the installer list county by county. Approved installers appear for the counties they serve. Paid tiers add more detail and a higher spot on the page.
3. You quote, build and sign off
The package is a starting point, not a stamped design. You check the site, quote the job your way, and the permit office still has the final say. We do not take a cut of your job.
What we check before anyone is listed
- Registered with the province to install sewage systems (Ontario Building Code, Division C, Section 3.3), with a qualified On-site Sewage Systems BCIN holder on your crew.
- Current liability insurance certificate.
- Two recent septic jobs we can confirm (town and permit number is enough).
- The counties you actually work in. Listing a county you will not drive to helps nobody.
We do not list anyone we have not checked, and we remove listings after repeated complaints we can confirm.
Installer FAQ
Does it cost anything to be listed?
No. An approved listing is free. Paid tiers (Basic, Plus, Featured) add more detail and placement. See installer pricing.
Are these leads exclusive?
No. A homeowner can contact more than one installer. Featured is limited to 3 installers per county so the top of the page does not turn into a phone book.
Do you design septic systems?
No. The software calculates, checks, drafts and organizes from the homeowner’s own information. A homeowner can design a system for their own property under Division C, 3.2.5.1.(3)(d); anyone else doing design for others needs the proper BCIN.
When am I billed for a paid tier?
Only once your listing is live. Nothing is charged while we check your application.
